How can install Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on Windows 7?

Ok i have Windows 7 Professional. I checked on the game which software are compatible with it, and it said Windows XP, but i was just wondering if i can play it on here anyway. I have enough RAM or whatever, but when i tried installing it it took a longggg time. And it got stuck at the end where it had to install Audio. Please help!
