Is ther something wrong with being goth?

I've heard a lot of people say bad stuff about goths, but I think I am one in a way. I love darkness, I'm constantly thinking about suicide, I cry all the time. I hate my life and my family doesn't believe in my writing ability- which is actually my only talent. I don't cut, but I should because Im a really big idiot. What can I say? I'm depressed and I just want to give up my life to improve others because I no longer care about mine. So I just wanted to know what do people have against being a goth? Maybe you just don't understand. You could call me one, but I'm not stereotypical and I tend to hide my depression when I'm around others. Everyone thinks I'm this cheery, nice, polite person, but when I'm by myseld I'm not. So do you believe that goths are weird and worship the devil? What's your opinion on goths?
